6-Level Layering System for Hunting

What is layering and why do you need it

When gearing up to go hunting, a solid layering system will keep you safe and comfortable in any conditions. Multiple layers allow you to adjust to changing weather and activity levels. With 6 levels, we developed one of the most efficient layering systems in the hunting industry.

1UL Underwear Layer

The first hunting underwear layer (1UL) is made primarily from quick-drying bamboo fiber and it is excellent at wicking moisture away from the skin. 1UL is a solid choice for high-activity hunts or warmer weather.

2BL Base Layer

The second layer, called the hunting base layer (2BL), features an inner bamboo fiber surface for maximum moisture absorption combined with 15µm Merino wool for fast evaporation, natural odor resistance, and ability to insulate even when wet. It’s a fantastic choice for cold weather hunting, especially when moisture is a concern.

3ML Mid Layer

The third layer, our hunting mid-layer (3ML), is made of 18µm Merino-Bamboo fleece, which enhances warmth and breathability. This mid-level fleece piece has a built-in stretchy hood, and just enough warmth to even act as an outer layer in mild temperatures.

4IL Insulation Layer

The fourth layer is the Hunting Insulation Layer, which we call 4IL. Featuring 1000-fill-power down 4IL is a game-changing piece of gear: light-as-air insulation encased in a stretchable shell-fabric will keep you warm without weighing you down.

5WL Waterproof Layer

The fifth waterproof layer, known as 5WL, provides year-round ultralight coverage, guaranteeing dryness and protection in various temperatures, rain, or snow.

6OL Outer Layer

The sixth outer layer, our insulated waterproof layer (6OL), is designed with advanced technology that ensures optimal warmth even in the coldest conditions.
